The following maps are all original steel engravings drawn under the supervision of Victor Levasseur, in Paris in 1854. Levasseur was a prominent French cartographer working in Paris in the mid 19th. century.

The maps shown here represent the wine growing regions in France where some of the most famous wines were, and still are produced. The wines for each region are noted next to the Department listings. Larger images of the maps can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnail pictures depicted against each one.

With the purchase of each map we will provide a listing of the wines to accompany it, and as the maps are all original one-of-a-kind items, we only have one example of each, so it's first come, first served! With their finely engraved borders showing the produce & commerce of each region, they look handsome framed and hung on the walls of dining areas, restaurants, wine emporiums, wine bars & rooms or salons where wine tasting groups meet. In fact wherever wine is kept, served, savored and enjoyed.
