	CDS, VOL. 1 & VOL. 2 Many of Grace Galleries' large collection of original, antique maps & sea charts are captured on these discs in the form of TIF and JPG file formats. These images are taken from maps of the late 16th to the 19th century by web designer John W. Snowe and are made available on these CDs. There are photos of complete maps and scans of sections of maps. Included on Volume 1 is a selection of decorative artwork such as compass roses, sea serpents, sailing ships, animals, armorial motifs with crowns and shields; and ornamental cartouches that enclosed the map titles. The CDs are designed for graphic designers, illustrators, art directors and artists and is in both PC and Mac formats. While no copyright exists on the maps themselves, Grace Galleries retains the rights to the copyright on the CDs and their contents. Click on thumbnail print for a larger view.
